AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken standout Kody Belcher has been named the Peach Belt Conference baseball player of the week, as announced by the league office.

Belcher led the team to a 3-1 record for the week, including a 2-1 mark against league competition.

The Martinez, Ga., native batted .500 for the week and slugged 1.188. He also sported a .571 on-base percentage. Belcher had eight hits on the week, five of which went for extra bases. 

Belcher had at least one hit in three of the four outings, including a three-hit and four-hit performance in wins over UNC Pembroke. He scored three runs against Paine, four in the opener against the Braves and two more in the series finale. Belcher drove in two runs against Paine and had eight against UNC Pembroke.

In the opening game against the Braves, Belcher tied a pair of school records. He tied the mark with three round-trippers in a single game and tied the mark with eight RBI in the same contest.

The Pacers return to action Tuesday when they travel to Newberry.
