Pacers Sweep Saints

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team netted a 5-0 victory over Flagler Monday afternoon in the regular-season finale.

The Pacers are now 9-9 on the season and 3-7 against conference competition.

The teams decided to start with singles action and head coach Steve Dahm's team breezed through the line-up.

Top-seeded Ettore Damiani downed his foe at the No. 1 spot by a 6-3, 6-4 count. Julien Tan continued his solid season at the No. 2 seed with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Mathias Degardin boasted a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 4 slot while Clement Raymond totaled a 6-0, 6-1 victory as the No. 5 student-athlete.

Sixth-seeded Alejandro Andino notched a 6-1, 6-0 win. Andy Quirk's match went unfinished as the Pacers claimed the overall win before his point was needed.
