TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team earned a 6-3 victory at North Greenville Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 7-7 on the season.
Head coach Steve Dahm's team fell behind 2-0 in doubles play, but Clement Raymond and Ronan Reberac teamed up for a 9-7 victory at the No. 3 spot, which proved to be huge.
USC Aiken lost the No. 1 spot in singles action, but bounced back to take the next five for a 6-3 win.
Julien Tan recorded a 6-3, 7-5 victory at the No. 2 spot while Andy Quirk breezed past his competition by a score of 6-0, 6-2, for a win at the No. 3 position.
Fourth-seeded Mathias Degardin garnered a 6-3, 6-3 victory. At the No. 5 slot, Raymond won the first set 6-1, but lost the second set 7-5. However, he posted a 10-5 victory in the third frame for the victory.
Alejandro Andino closed out the win for the visitors with a 6-1, 6-1 contest at the No. 6 spot.
The Pacers return to action Friday when they host Georgia College starting at 2 p.m.
