YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 contest at Young Harris Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 6-6 on the year, including a 2-4 mark against league play.
Head coach Steve Dahm's squad fell behind by a 3-0 count after a tightly contested doubles competition.
Ettore Damiani registered an outstanding three-set victory at the No. 1 spot. After losing the first set, he bounced back to win the match by scores of 6-3 and 7-6. Second-seeded Julien Tan notched a 6-4, 6-2 win.
Mathias Degardin garnered a three-set win at the No. 5 spot. He posted a 7-5 win in the first set but dropped the second frame 6-4. He ended up claiming the win with a 1-0, 10-8 superset.
The Pacers return to action Tuesday when they host Armstrong State in a match slated to begin at 4 p.m.
