HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team garnered a 6-3 victory at Coker Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
The Pacers improve to 3-1 on the young season.
Head coach Steve Dahm's team took a 2-1 lead after doubles action. The tandem of Nadine Tusiama and Shauna Williams notched a hard-fought 8-6 victory at the No. 1 spot. Their win propelled the tandem into a tie for 10th place on the school's career doubles victories.
Sarah Bernos and Kayla Calvert posted an 8-2 win at the No. 2 slot.
Tusiama rounded out an undefeated afternoon by posting a 6-2, 6-3 decision at the No. 1 position. Williams went 2-0 on the day with her 6-1, 6-4 victory at the No. 3 spot.
Oliver Veskovac tallied a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 4 position while Calvert accounted for a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 5.
The Pacers return to action Saturday when they travel to Georgia Southwestern for a 2:30 p.m., contest.
