AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South
Carolina Aiken standout Ashley Diedrich has been named the Peach
Belt Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced by the
league office.
Diedrich, a junior, is a native of Orlando, Fla. Last week she
guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week with wins at Francis Marion and at
UNC Pembroke.
The 5-11” right-side hitter posted two double-doubles for
the week.
Against the Patriots, Diedrich accounted for 13 kills and 10 digs.
She also added five assists, three block assist sand a pair of
aces. In the win against the Braves, Diedrich smashed a match-best
21 kills and tallied 10 digs. She also hit .362 for the match.
Diedrich accounted for an ace and four block assists.
She has helped guide the Pacers to an 8-2 overall mark, including
a 2-0 record against league foes.
Diedrich and the rest of the Pacers return to action Wednesday
when they travel to Lander for a 7 p.m., match. Live stats and
