AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina
Aiken, in conjunction with head baseball coach Kenny Thomas, is
pleased to announce the 2015 schedule.
The Pacers have 32 home dates to highlight the slate, including 15
contests against Peach Belt Conference foes.
USC Aiken opens the season on Sunday, Feb. 1 against Lincoln
Memorial for the sixth consecutive season. The teams will play a
doubleheader Sunday before returning to the field for a single
contest on Monday, Feb. 2.
The Pacers host a three-game series against Trevecca Nazarene Feb.
5-7. The team will have an off day before playing a single contest
against Florida Tech on Monday, Feb. 9.
Thomas' team begins PBC play at Armstrong State Feb. 14 with
a doubleheader. The squads complete the three-game set the
following afternoon.
USC Aiken returns home on Feb. 18 when it hosts Paine in a
mid-week affair. The Pacers travel to nearby Lander for a weekend
series Feb. 21-22 prior to returning home for their home conference
opening series Feb. 27-28 against Georgia College.
Thomas' squad hosts just six games during the month of March
while playing on the road nine times.
USC Aiken opens the month March 6-8 at Georgia Southwestern before
hosting Chowan March 10-11 in a mid-week affair.
The Pacers host Francis Marion March 14-15 in a three-game set and
follow it up by hosting non-conference rival Newberry March 18 to
wrap up the six-game homestand.
USC Aiken hits the road for the final six games of the month,
traveling to North Georgia March 21-22 and to Montevallo March
28-29.
Heading toward the home stretch of the regular season,
Thomas' team is at home for 15 of the final 18 games prior to
the postseason.
The Pacers open a four-game homestand by entertaining Paine on
Apr. 1. Two days later, the squad welcomes UNC Pembroke to town for
a weekend series.
After traveling to Newberry on Apr. 7, the squad returns home Apr.
10-12 for a series against nearby GRU Augusta.
USC Aiken heads to Catawba Apr. 15, but returns home to host
Emmanuel the next afternoon. On Sunday, Apr. 19, the team takes on
Georgia Gwinnett.
The Pacers hit the road for the final time of the regular season
when they travel to GRU Augusta for a non-conference contest Apr.
22. The team hosts Emmanuel (Apr. 23), Flagler (Apr. 25-26) and
Catawba (May 1-2) to round out the regular season.
