DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team picked up an impressive 6-3 victory at North Georgia Sunday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference contest.
The Pacers are now 13-6 overall, including a 6-5 effort against PBC competition.
The team fell behind 2-1 after doubles play as only third-seeded Victoria Jasko and Margot Simon could pull off the win. The duo won convincingly, 8-3.
Head coach Steve Dahm's team reeled off five wins in singles action. Nadine Tusiama posted an easy 6-2, 6-3 victory at the top spot while Simon notched a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 2 position.
Shauna Williams won by a 6-4, 6-2, count at the No. 3 spot while Julie Arruda posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Jasko, at No. 5, also won by the same 6-1, 6-1 score.
The Pacers return to action Saturday, Apr. 12, at Georgia College in a 1 p.m. match.
