AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis squad lost a 5-3 contest to visiting Lander Sunday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 10-5 overall and 4-4 in PBC play.
Head coach Steve Dahm's team trailed 2-1 after doubles action. The lone win for USC Aiken came from Nadine Tusiama and Franziska Regel, who posted an 8-5 win at the No. 2 slot.
Tusiama carried over her solid play in singles action, taking home a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the top spot. The Pacers also won at No. 3 singles as Shauna Williams ousted her opponent by a 6-1, 6-1 count. However, the squad was unable to pick up another victory although the team had three matches that went into three sets.
The Pacers will try and get back on track Apr. 1 at Queens. The match begins at 1 p.m.
