USC Aiken Rolls Past Limestone

AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 15 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team rolled past No. 30 Limestone Wednesday afternoon by an 8-1 count.

The Pacers improve to 8-4 on the season.

Head coach Steve Dahm's team started out with a 3-0 lead after snagging all the doubles competitions. Top-seeded Alejandro Andino and Patrick Stiebinger notched an 8-1 win while Ettore Damiani and Lucas Gobbi posted an 8-6 victory at No. 2. Third-seeded Andy Quirk and Ronan Reberac got by their opposition by an 8-6 count at the No. 3 slot.

Damiani, ranked No. 26, ousted his opponent at the No. 1 singles spot by a 6-3, 6-3 count. Quirk won at No. 2 6-1, 6-2 while Gobbi, Stiebinger and Felix Zahn all recorded victories at their positions.

The Pacers return to action Saturday when they host Lander at 1 p.m.
