EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The No. 5 University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team takes on Chico State tonight in the final quarterfinal game of the day at the Ford Center.

Although the Pacers have been here since Sunday afternoon, the team has adjusted to the time change and has kept busy with all the obligations the participants have during the few days leading up to the Elite Eight.

On Monday, the team took part in a banquet that featured every squad in the tournament.

Each institution reached out to the Evansville community and the Peach Belt Conference champions managed to work with children at a local YMCA Tuesday morning. During the time at the YMCA, the Pacers taught the kids how to shoot, rebound, pass and play defense. After all the instructions were over with, the team played a game of “Knockout” with the children.

Early Tuesday afternoon, head coach Vince Alexander was available to all the media outlets for an hour before getting his team ready for an open practice that lasted 55 minutes.

The Pacers had a brief shoot-around Wednesday morning before heading back to rest up for the game.
