AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team continues its national recognition as the Pacers were tabbed No. 2 in the Preseason Top 30 Poll by CollegeBaseballLineup.com.

The Pacers were also recently slotted at No. 14 by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper in their preseason poll.

The 2013 squad won the PBC regular-season championship for the third time in the program's history. The team was nationally-ranked for the entire season, reaching as high as No. 1. The squad went 42-13 overall, including a 24-6 mark against conference competition.

The Pacers will open their 2014 season on Feb. 1, with a home game against Lincoln Memorial. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. It marks the first of eight straight home games for the Pacers to start the season.
