KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of
South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team moved to No. 13 in
the latest NABC/Division II rankings, which were released Tuesday
afternoon.
The rankings reflect games played through Jan. 19.
The Pacers are currently 15-2 overall, including a 7-0 record
against Peach Belt Conference competition.
Leading the way for head coach Vince Alexander's team is
Ronald Zimmerman, who accounts for 17.1 points per game. He ups his
tally to 18.7 during league play. DeVontae Wright, coming off a
career-high 23 points in the win over North Georgia, scores 14.1
points per contest but increases it to 18.6 against league foes.
Paul Larsen notches 12.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, but
improves his totals to 12.9 points and 11 rebounds a game against
PBC competition.
Alvin Brown leads the country with 73 blocks (4.9 bpg).
USC Aiken has reeled off 10 straight victories heading into
Wednesday night's road game at Georgia College (7:30
p.m.).
The Pacers will also travel to Francis Marion Saturday afternoon
for a 3:30 p.m., contest.
