AIKEN, S.C. – Head baseball coach Kenny Thomas, in conjunction with the South Carolina Aiken athletic department, is pleased to announce the addition of former South Carolina standout Nolan Belcher to the staff.

"We are so excited to have Nolan on our staff," Thomas said. "He is a great addition to the program. Nolan will assist with pitching and defense. He will also coach first base. Nolan will assist our staff with coaching the hitters and pitchers. He also gives us a left-handed batters practice thrower."

Belcher wrapped up his playing career with the Gamecocks last spring. He registered 18 wins in his career and sported a 3.30 ERA. Belcher started 38 games, earning a complete game as a freshman in an 8-1 win over Ole Miss. As a rookie, Belcher was named to the SEC all-Freshman Team. He also picked up two saves during his junior campaign. Belcher worked 259 innings in four seasons and struck out 238 batters while walking just 88.
