NEW YORK – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's golf team is still the third-ranked team in the nation in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Men's Coaches' Poll and the Golfstat NCAA Division II Head-to-Head standings.
The Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Men's Coaches' Poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the April 1, 2013 issue of Golf World.
USC Aiken is the highest of five ranked Peach Belt Conference teams in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Men's Coaches' Poll. Columbus State is ninth, Georgia College is 11th, Armstrong is t-12th and Georgia Southwestern is 22nd in the latest national tally.
Nova Southeastern is first nationally in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Men's Coaches' Poll. Barry is second in the poll, while Florida Southern is fourth. Lynn is fifth.
The top-3 is the same in the latest Golfstat NCAA Division II Head-to-Head standings with Nova Southeastern first, Barry second and the Pacers third. In the Golfstat rankings, CSU-Monterey Bay is fourth, while Abilene Christian is fifth.
USC Aiken will next close out the regular-season portion of its 2012-13 season by participating in Augusta State's Insperity Augusta State Invitational April 6-7 at the par-72 Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
