Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – The nationally 13th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team scored the first 10 runs of the game and never looked back in a 10-6 non-conference victory over Anderson on Thursday evening at Roberto Hernandez Stadium.
USC Aiken (17-5) concluded its win out-hitting Anderson (5-21), 19-7.
Three Pacers finished with three hits each in the victory over Anderson.
Josh Miller (Chapin, S.C./Chapin HS) led the way for USC Aiken in the game. He was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Bryce Baur (Moncks Corner, S.C./Florence-Darlington Tech) and Bill Gerstenslager (Solon, Ohio/Mercyhurst) both also had three hits in the game. Baur was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Gerstenslager was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and one run scored.

Continuing his recent tear, Ty Barkell (Denver, Colo./Palmer Ridge HS) extended his hitting streak in the contest to 13 games by going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. He tripled in the contest.
USC Aiken's Sean Miller (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding HS) was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Ben Donath (Aiken, S.C./Middle Georgia) had two RBIs and one run scored to go along with his 2-for-4 performance at the dish.
Paul Como homered in the game for the Trojans.
USC Aiken had six pitchers see the mound on Thursday with the six combining to strike out 11 Trojans.
Pacer starter Jake Padgett (Gilbert, S.C./Gilbert HS) picked up his first victory of the year by dealing five innings of scoreless baseball. He allowed just two hits and struck out five.
Anderson starter Stephen McKnight (1-3) suffered the loss. He pitched three innings, allowing seven runs and 10 hits.
USC Aiken's Taylor Grover (North Augusta, S.C./Midland Valley HS) picked up the last out of the game for USC Aiken to claim his Peach Belt Conference-leading sixth save of the year.
