AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken head tennis coach Steve Dahm released the 2013 Pacer men's and women's tennis schedules on Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

"When almost every match on the calendar has the potential to go either way, it creates real incentive to work harder now," noted Dahm. "This schedule gives us the opportunity to battle the best Division II teams in the country. I look forward to February."

The Pacer men will open their 2013 spring campaigns first with USC Aiken traveling to face off against national power Valdosta State on Friday, Feb. 1 in Valdosta, Ga. Things are scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. One day later, USC Aiken will stay in the area to face off against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 in Tifton, Ga. 

The USC Aiken women's tennis team kicks off its 2013 campaign one day later on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Atlanta against Clark Atlanta. The action is slated to start at 1 p.m. USC Aiken is 2-0 all-time against Clark Atlanta. One day later on Monday, Feb. 4, USC Aiken will play host to its first league match of the year when rival Augusta State visits the USC Aiken Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. 

The Pacer men and women will then welcome defending national champions Armstrong Atlantic State to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6. 

The Pacer women will then look to remain perfect against Converse all-time when the Valkyries visit the USC Aiken Tennis Complex at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

USC Aiken men's tennis team will face off against rival Augusta State at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex. One day later, USC Aiken's women's tennis team will square off against league foe UNC Pembroke in Pembroke, N.C. on Sunday, Feb. 10. The action is scheduled to commence at 1:30 p.m. 

The Pacer men and women will then welcome non-conference rival Queens to the USC Aiken Complex at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. One day later on Saturday, Feb. 16, USC Aiken's women's tennis team will welcome Montevallo to its home facility. The Pacers and Falcons are scheduled to kick things off at 1 p.m. On Sunday, Feb. 17, USC Aiken and Clayton State will face off at 2 p.m. at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.

USC Aiken's men's and women's tennis team will take on league rival foe North Georgia at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex. Both the Pacer men and women will then travel to Bacon Park in Savannah, Ga. for a neutral site match against league opponent Flagler at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25. 

The USC Aiken men and women will then return home looking to remain perfect all-time against Benedict at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1.   

After Benedict, the USC Aiken men and women will head to Georgia for league road matches against Georgia Southwestern (Saturday, March 2 – 2:30 p.m.) and Columbus State (Sunday, March 3 – 11 a.m.).

The Pacer men and women will then stay on the road for non-conference encounters with Anderson (Tuesday, March 5 – 2 p.m.) and Anderson (Friday, March 8 – 2 p.m.).

The Pacer women will face off against Erskine at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex. One day later on Sunday, March 10, USC Aiken will travel to Florence, S.C. to take on league foe Francis Marion at 1 p.m. 

After an almost two-week layoff, the USC Aiken men and women will face off against league rival Lander next at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 in Greenwood, S.C.

Pfeiffer visits the USC Aiken Tennis Complex on Sunday, March 24 for matches with the Pacer men and women. Action is slated to begin at 10 a.m.

USC Aiken visits new league member Young Harris on Friday, March 29. Things in the men's and women's matches are scheduled to commence at 2 p.m. 

Just a few days later, the USC Aiken men will welcome Erskine to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex for a 2:30 p.m. match on Tuesday, April 2. The Pacer men and women will then travel to Belmont Abbey on Thursday, April 4. Things are scheduled to get underway at 2:30 p.m.

Georgia College will serve as the final home foe of the year for the Pacer men and women at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.  

The Pacer men and women will close out their 2013 regular season campaigns on the road in Wingate, N.C. against Wingate on Wednesday, April 10. Action is set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

Both the USC Aiken Aiken men's and women's tennis teams were ranked nationally in the final 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II tennis rankings.

The USC Aiken men ended the year ranked 38th, while the USC Aiken women closed out their year with a national ranking of 48th

The two teams both ended the year nationally-ranked for the first time since 2008. The Pacer men have now been nationally-ranked in the final national tally in 10 consecutive seasons. 

The Pacer men, who were nationally ranked all year, concluded their 2012 campaign with a 9-8 record overall. In the incredibly tough Peach Belt Conference the Pacers were 2-7.

The Pacer men were 10th in the final ITA Southeast Region rankings. 

The USC Aiken women's tennis team claimed a program-best seven wins in Peach Belt Conference action this past year. USC Aiken was 7-5 in league play in 2012. 

The Pacer women closed out their 2012 campaign with a 13-8 record overall.

USC Aiken concluded its record-breaking season ranked eighth in the final ITA Southeast Region rankings.
