WILSON, N.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken baseball players Josh Miller and Jake Padgett have been chosen to the Coastal Plain League All-Star Team.

Miller, who plays for the Columbia Blowfish, was tabbed to the CPL National All-Star Team, while Padgett, who is currently a member of the Forest City Owls, was selected to the CPL American All-Star Team. Miller will be playing in the CPL All-Star Game for the second consecutive season. 

Miller (Chapin, S.C./Chapin) has started 32 games this summer for the Blowfish at catcher. He is leading Columbia with a .324 (36-for-111) batting average. The rising senior has scored 24 runs to go along with his 11 RBIs. He is a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts.

Miller's 13 doubles is leading the entire Coastal Plain League.

Padgett has made 18 appearances this summer for the Owls. The rising junior currently owns a perfect 2-0 record with a 0.67 earned run average. Padgett (Gilbert, S.C./Gilbert) has fanned 27 in exactly 27 innings pitched currently.
 
Padgett's foes are hitting just .163 against him this summer.

The Coastal Plain League's 14th Annual All-Star Game will be played at Historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson, N.C. on Monday, July 23. The American CPL All-Stars will be the visitors, while the National CPL All-Stars will be the home team. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.

Both the American and National teams each feature players from 12 CPL clubs, with the players being selected by head coaches and media representatives from all 14 CPL teams. Each roster has 27 active players.
