SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The nationally 13^th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is tied for 10th after the first round of action at the 2012 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 7,092-yard Cardinal Club Golf Course.

USC Aiken posted a team score of 292 in the first round. The 292 ties the Pacers with Grand Canyon for 10^th.

Three Pacers are currently among the top-50 individually with Hayden Letien leading the way for the Pacers. Letien is currently tied for third.

A 2011 All-America selection, Letien (Sumter, S.C./Sumter) carded a 3-under 69 in round one. The sophomore obtained four birdies in the first round.

Three Pacers are in the top-50 individually in total. Gaines Milliner (Aiken, S.C./Aiken) is currently tied for 23^rd, while JP Solis (Morelia, Mexico/Lico Morelia) is tied for 47^th. Milliner posted an even 72 in round one. Solis carded a 74 in the first round.

Buoyed by a 7-under 65 from current individual leader Josh Creel, Central Oklahoma is currently in first place as a team after the first round of action.

Central Oklahoma acquired a total team tally of 9-under 279 in round one.

UNC Pembroke is in second currently at 285. Western Washington is third at 287.

The second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16. The first Pacer is slated to tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
