AMERICUS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken
tennis teams closed out their 2012 regular seasons with dominating
road victories over Georgia Southwestern at the Susan K. Smith
Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The regionally seventh-ranked USC Aiken women (13-7, 7-5 PBC)
picked up a 9-0 shutout win over Georgia Southwestern (8-13, 3-9
PBC) on Sunday, while the nationally 33rd-ranked and the
regionally ninth-ranked USC Aiken men (9-7, 2-7 PBC) claimed a 8-1
win over Georgia Southwestern (5-14, 0-9 PBC).
The USC Aiken men and women will next compete in the 2012 Peach
Belt Conference Tennis Championships.
The Peach Belt Conference Tennis Championships will be held
Friday, April 20-Sunday, April 22 in Greenwood, S.C. The
championship is being hosted by Lander.
