GAFFNEY, S.C. – A dominating second game win helped the University of South Carolina Aiken softball team to a doubleheader split with Limestone on Sunday afternoon at Saints Field.

Limestone (7-7) earned a 7-3 win in game one before USC Aiken (9-5) acquired an easy 8-0 six-inning victory in game two.

The Saints led from start-to-finish in game one.

USC Aiken's Kaitlyn White (Columbia, S.C./College of Charleston) was a perfect 4-for-4 from the dish for the Pacers in game one. She also scored one run.

White was the only Pacer with multiple hits.

Jenna Guse guided the Saints in their game one win with a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored and an RBI. 

Overall, Limestone out-hit USC Aiken, 8-7, in game one.

India Kornegay (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) suffered the loss in the circle in game one. Leah Quaint pitched the Saints to the win in game one.

USC Aiken started game two emphatically by scoring four runs in the top of the first.

Victoria Burkett (Gilbert, S.C./Gilbert HS) tripled in two of the four runs in the inning for USC Aiken.

The Pacers from there would add two runs each in the top of the third and sixth innings.

The six runs would prove to be more than the Pacers needed in the game with Kornegay (9-5) pitching a no-hitter in the game. She fanned nine and walked just two. 

The no-hitter is the second of Kornegay's career. She picked up her first during her freshman campaign in 2011 in a game with St. Andrews on Mar. 23, 2011. 

Four Pacers recorded multiple hits in game two with Nicole Borden (Jacksonville, Fla./Bolles School), Burkett, Brittney Williamson (Lexington, S.C./White Knoll HS) and Brandy Bossle (North East, Md./Rising Sun HS) all finishing with two hits.
