EVANS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country team finished sixth at the Sixth Annual Jaguar Invitational at Blanchard Woods Park.
USC Aiken (145 points) finished with a total team time of 2:25:18.66 to claim sixth place. Georgia State (15 points) claimed the team title in the women's 6K with a total team time of 2:00:01.11.
Georgia State's Katharine Showalter garnered top honors individually with a time of 23:09.52.
USC Aiken's Keely Gillespie (Belvedere, S.C./North Augusta) was the top Pacer finisher, ending her efforts in ninth individually with a time of 25:19.39.
Six Pacers in total finished in the top-50 individually with Kayla Millholland (Hampton, Ga./Luella HS) ending her efforts on the day in 37th with a time of 29:39.69.
USC Aiken's Morgan Payne (Leesville, S.C./Pelion HS) finished 40th at 29:54.35, while Alexis Harvin (Las Animas, Colo./Las Animas HS) was one spot behind in 41st at 30:11.52.
Samantha Lisek (Zebulon, N.C./East Wake Academy) acquired a 43rd place finish with a time of 30:13.71. Brittany May (Augusta, Ga./Greenbrier HS) finished just behind her in 44th with a time of 30:28.05.
The Pacers will next travel back to Montevallo, Ala. to compete in the Peach Belt Conference Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Oct. 20. The women's 6K portion of the championship is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. EST.
