Box Score MORROW, Ga. – In a battle of top 15 teams, No. 2 Clayton
State was able to get the better of No. 15 USC Aiken in an 86-76
Peach Belt Conference victory over the Pacers on Saturday afternoon
at the Athletics & Fitness Center.

Harris led USC Aiken (16-3, 9-2 PBC) in the game with a
career-high tying 25 points. Harris has now scored 25 points twice
in the 2011-12 regular season. She also posted 25 in USC Aiken's
win over Limestone on Dec. 1, 2011.
Harris (Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield) was 8-for-15 from the field in
the loss to the Lakers. She hit nine of her 12 free throw attempts
in the game. Harris also had six rebounds.
Three Pacers ended their day in double figures in total.
Pacer point guard Brittany Hill
(Mechanicsville, Va./Quinnipiac) flirted with a triple-double in
the contest. Hill ended her efforts on Saturday with 16 points,
eight rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Hannah
DeGraffinreed finished her day with 11 points. She was 5-for-6
from the free throw line in the Pacer loss. DeGraffinreed (Raleigh,
N.C./Merrimack College) also had four rebounds, three assists and
one steal in the game.
All 11 of DeGraffinreed's points came in the second half.
Clayton State (19-2, 9-1 PBC) had three players secure double
figures in the win over the Pacers with Brittany Hall leading the
way with 18 points.
USC Aiken as a team concluded Saturday's loss shooting 38.6
percent (22-for57). USC Aiken hit upon 24 of its 31 (77.4 percent)
free throw attempts in the game.
Clayton State knocked down 50.8 percent (30-for-59) of its shots
as a team in the game. The Lakers hit 90 percent (18-for-20) of
their free throw attempts in the game.
Down by 14 at halftime, USC Aiken battled its way back into the
game in the second half.
The Pacers would get as close as eight points in the final
minute, but they would not be able to get any closer in the
10-point loss to Clayton State.
The Pacers outscored Clayton State, 45-41, in the second
stanza.
USC Aiken will have some time off before next traveling to
Savannah, Ga. for a Peach Belt Conference contest with Armstrong
Atlantic State at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
