Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) to rival Augusta State in Peach Belt Conference volleyball action at the Christenberry Fieldhouse on Friday evening.
Endea Ellison (Orange Park, Fla./Episcopal) led the Pacers in kills in the match with a match-high nine. Shannon Byers (Morristown, Minn./Faribault) acquired seven kills and six digs.
USC Aiken's Jessica Loper (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Landing Christian) collected seven kills in the match to go along with two solo blocks and one block assist.
Pacer libero Samantha Lukralle (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) finished the match with a match-high tying 12 digs.
No Augusta State (8-10, 2-3 PBC) volleyball player was able to secure double-digit kills in the match with Kristen Koch leading the Jaguars with eight kills.
Sheila Walsh (Fort Mill, S.C./Nation Ford) ended Friday's loss to Augusta State with a team-high 16 assists for the Pacers.
Augusta State's Krystin Wahlig and Collette Richards tied Lukralle for the match high in digs with each collecting 12.
Wahlig acquired a double-double in the match as she also had 27 assists.
USC Aiken (6-10, 1-2 PBC) will next play host to its first Peach Belt Conference home match of the year against Montevallo at the Convocation Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
