Vodicka Unveils 2011 USC Aiken Women's Soccer Schedule

2011 USC Aiken Women's Soccer Schedule

AIKEN, S.C. – Seventh-year head coach Sue Vodicka unveiled the 2011 University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer schedule on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.

The 2011 USC Aiken women's soccer schedule features a full Peach Belt Conference slate and seven home games at the “Pacer Pit.”

USC Aiken will hold its annual “Kick Out Cancer” game at the “Pacer Pit” on Saturday, Oct. 8 against Georgia Southwestern. The Pacer men will play the Georgia Southwestern men at 5 p.m. prior to the women's game that evening at 7 p.m.

Vodicka is excited about the prospects of the upcoming campaign, particularly after the Pacers closed out the fall of 2010 by securing a positive result in four of its last five games.

“Coming off our best spring since I have been here in terms of team unity, competition and focus, Coach Deer and I are really looking forward to the fall,” mused Vodicka. “We are excited to play some new teams in USC Beaufort and Valdosta State, as well as the always tough Peach Belt Conference games. I expect the PBC to have several teams ranked nationally, and that certainly adds to the challenge.”
