AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's and women's tennis teams opened up their 2011 spring campaigns with emphatic victories over Young Harris on Sunday afternoon at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.
The USC Aiken women blanked Young Harris, 9-0, while the nationally 25th-ranked Pacer men garnered an 8-1 win over Young Harris.
Both the Pacer men and women are now 1-0 on the season. Young Harris drops to 0-1 on the year in both men's and women's tennis.
The USC Aiken women will next travel to Atlanta for a 2 p.m. match with Clark Atlanta on Feb. 8.
The Pacer men will next welcome Peach Belt Conference rival Georgia College to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. match on Feb. 11.
