KANSAS CITY – The University of South Carolina Aiken
women's soccer team was recognized for its excellence in the
classroom by garnering the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association
of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award by posting a 3.20 grade
point average.
USC Aiken was one of nine Peach Belt Conference schools to earn
academic award honors. A total of 568 women's soccer teams
across the nation were honored for posting a team grade point
average of 3.0 or higher.
Five different Pacers were acknowledged after their 2011
campaigns for their commitment to the classroom.
Emily Dodd (North Augusta, S.C./North Augusta) was chosen to the
2011 Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic Team
on Nov. 9, 2011, while Paige Busby (North Augusta, S.C./North
Augusta), Alli Edens (Lexington, S.C./College of Charleston), Kyle
Maguire (Irmo, S.C./Dutch Fork) and Jordan Ziegler (Lexington,
S.C./White Knoll) were Honorable Mention selections.
