AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken
women's basketball player Hannah DeGraffinreed has been named
the Days Inn Downtown Aiken USC Aiken Athletic Department
Student-Athlete of the Month for her efforts in the month of
November.
DeGraffinreed led the nationally 21st-ranked USC
Aiken women's basketball team to a 4-1 record during the
month of November.
DeGraffinreed finished the first month of USC Aiken's
regular season leading the Pacers in points with 13.2 points per
outing. She is also tied for the team lead in assists with 21.
DeGraffinreed is second on the squad with 5.8 rebounds per
contest.
The senior forward from Raleigh, N.C. concluded USC
Aiken's first five games shooting 65.9 percent (27-for-41)
from the field. She was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor in USC
Aiken's win over Barton on Nov. 26, 2011.
DeGraffinreed ended the month of November having secured
double-digits in scoring in four of the five games. She also
collected one double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in USC
Aiken's win over Catawba on Nov. 25, 2011.
The Days Inn Downtown Aiken USC Aiken Athletic Department
Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each
month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each
month during the 2011-12 athletic year one winner will be chosen
from an in-season sport.
