INDIANAPOLIS – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball remained 10^th in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region Rankings released on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011.

The Pacers were originally ranked 10^th in the inaugural NCAA Division II Southeast Region Rankings of 2011, which were released on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011.

The region rankings were released by the Southeast Region selection committee. The rankings are used to determine the region participants from the Southeast Region for the 2011 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championships.

Eight teams from the Southeast Region will receive an invitation to the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championships. An automatic bid is given to the winner of the Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference and Conference Carolinas. The next five highest ranked teams will earn an at-large berth into the national tournament.

The top three remained the same in the latest region rankings with national No. 15 Armstrong Atlantic State still ranked first. Nationally 14^th-ranked Wingate is second followed by Flagler in third.

The regionally 10^th-ranked USC Aiken volleyball team recently closed out the month of October with an impressive 8-3 record.

The Pacers overall are now one match above .500 at 14-13. The Pacers are presently 6-5 in Peach Belt Conference action.

USC Aiken will now close out its 2011 regular season with three straight Peach Belt Conference road matches.

The Pacers will first travel to Greenwood, S.C. to face off against Lander at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday).

USC Aiken will then travel to St. Augustine, Fla. for a 7 p.m. match against Flagler on Friday, Nov. 4.

The Pacers will conclude their 2011 regular season in Savannah, Ga. against national No. 15 Armstrong Atlantic State on Saturday, Nov. 5. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
