Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – Seniors Chelsey Kight and
Susan
MacClary combined for 14 kills and the University of South
Carolina Aiken volleyball team acquired a dominating 3-0 (25-16,
25-20, 25-22) win over Francis Marion on Senior Day at the
Convocation Center.
The match was USC Aiken's final home match of the 2011 season.
The Pacers concluded their home campaign in 2011 with an 8-4
record.
Kight (Charleston, S.C./West Ashley) finished second among all
Pacers in the match with eight kills. MacClary (Virginia Beach,
Va./Ocean Lakes) concluded the match with six total kills. She hit
.714 in the match.
USC Aiken's Leah Rodgers
(Longwood, Fla./Lake Mary) was the only player on either team to
collect double-digit kills as she ended the match with 11.
Alex
Petock (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) guided the Pacer attack in
the match with 21 assists.
Pacer libero Samantha
Lukralle (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) claimed a match-high
20 digs in the USC Aiken victory.
Lukralle's 20 digs in the match allowed her to continue her
ascension in the USC Aiken record books. Lukralle's team-best 404
digs in 2011 thus far leave her with 1,561 in her career. She is
now second all-time in school history in digs, passing Stefanie
Durham (2005-08) in the process. Durham ended her career with 1,551
digs.
USC Aiken Hall of Famer Roxanna Rivera (1994-97) is USC Aiken's
all-time digs leader with 1,753.
Ashlee Crook led Francis Marion (10-16, 2-9 PBC) in its loss to
USC Aiken on Saturday with seven kills. Nicole Bennett finished
with 17 assists, while Hallie Legg claimed 15 digs.
USC Aiken (14-13, 6-5 PBC) will next travel to Greenwood, S.C.
to face off against Lander at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
