Pacers Drop PBC Road Match to Lander

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team fell 6-0 to Lander on Wednesday evening in Peach Belt Conference men's soccer action at the Jeff May Complex.

Chris Hobbs and Brett Jankouskas each scored two goals in the victory over the Pacers. Jankouskas netted the first goal of the match for the Bearcats in the fourth minute.

Lander (7-5-2, 4-1-1 PBC) owned a 16-6 shot advantage in the match. The Bearcats also took three more corners (5-2) than USC Aiken (3-8-3, 1-4-2 PBC).

Edmund Eastick (Dorset, England/Kingston Maurward) led the Pacers in the match with two of the Pacers' six shots.

The Lander match was USC Aiken's final road contest of the season. The Pacers will next close out their 2011 regular season with two home games, beginning with a 6 p.m. match against St. Andrews at the "Pacer Pit" on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
