AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken golfer
Kyle Godsman has been named the Days Inn Downtown Aiken USC
Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month for his
efforts in the month of September.
Godsman is currently leading all of NCAA Division II with a
69.67 scoring average.
The Sept. 15 Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the
Week and the Sept. 18 South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken
Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week, Godsman (Moray,
Scotland/Lossiemouth) most recently finished tied for second
individually at the Springhill Suites Intercollegiate.
Godsman concluded the Springhill Suites Intercollegiate tied for
second place with Charleston Southern's David Denlinger. The
two finished with a 7-under score of 209.
By virtue of finishing in a tie for second, Godsman (70-68-71)
claimed his first top five finish as a Pacer in the event.
The Days Inn Downtown Aiken USC Aiken Athletic Department
Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each
month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each
month during the 2011-12 athletic year one winner will be chosen
from an in-season sport.
