2010 Fall Schedule

AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken head softball coach Jerry Snyder released the fall 2010 Pacer softball schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

USC Aiken will commence their fall schedule by taking to the diamond for the first time this fall on Saturday, Sept. 18 in the 2010 Alumni Softball Game held at J.H. Satcher Field. The game will feature both current and past Pacers with action slated to begin at 2 p.m.

Just one week later, USC Aiken will host their first of two four-team softball tournaments at home on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Coach Snyder and the Pacers will open the month of October by hosting the second four-team tournament on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Just one day later the Pacers will celebrate Parents' Day at J.H. Satcher Field on Sunday, Oct. 3.

Coach Snyder and USC Aiken will close the curtains on their fall 2010 schedule by traveling up the road to Columbia to take on the Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina for a doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 8 at Beckham Field. Action is slated to start at around 5 p.m.

The USC Aiken softball squad has shared much success recently, including having been ranked nationally at some point during the last two seasons. The 2010 Pacers were ranked a softball program preseason-best, 13th in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Preseason Top-25 poll, and remained ranked well into the season ending their season with an even record of 23-23 after bowing out of the 2010 PBC Softball Tournament in the PBC Tournament semifinals keeping the Pacers' current streak of 20-win seasons alive at seven seasons.
