Final Results
MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The
USC Aiken cross country team concluded the 2010 5K Berry College
Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in eighth place as a team.
The Pacers closed the meet with a total cumulative time of
1:51:16.49.
For the second consecutive
week, freshman Keely Gillespie (North Augusta, S.C./North Augusta)
led the Pacers. Gillespie finished with time of 20:35.68 to finish
19th overall.
Three-time All-Peach Belt
Conference runner Nicole Maitland (Chapin, S.C./Chapin) was not too
far behind Gillespie in 37th place with a time of
21:30.53.
Emory University claimed the
team crown in the 2010 edition of the Berry College Invitational
with a total team time of 1:39:04.91.
Shorter's Justyna Mudy
was the top individual finisher in the meet with a time of
18:05.76. Mudy bested second place finisher Jennifer Cook of host
Berry College by almost 45 seconds.
The Pacers will next run in
the 2010 Coastal Carolina Invitational in Conway, S.C. on Friday,
Sept. 17. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 4
p.m.
