Grady Chosen to PBC Men's Golf All-Conference Team

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Kevin Grady was selected to the 2009-10 Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf All-Conference Second Team at a banquet on the eve of the 2010 Peach Belt Conference Golf Tournament.

Grady has led the Pacers in the 2009-10 campaign with a team-best 73.8 stroke average over the course of the season. Grady has played in a team-high tying 25 rounds this season.

A senior from Woodbine, Md., Grady has finished in the top 25 individually in six of USC Aiken's 10 tournaments. His low round is a 68 that he acquired in the second round of the 2009 Springhill Suites Intercollegiate.

Georgia College & State University's Francisco Bide was named the PBC Player of the Year while Armstrong Atlantic State's Jacob Tilton was named the PBC Freshman of the Year. Flagler coach Santiago Cavanagh was named the Coach of the Year.

Grady and the USC Aiken golf team are set to participate in the 19th Annual Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship, beginning on Monday, Apr. 12, at Calloway Gardens. The event is part of the PBC Championship Series Presented by GEICO.

The venue is new, some of the teams are new and, for the first time, the men's tournament will be played in conjunction with the PBC women's golf tournament in its inaugural season. The men will play the Mountain View course at Calloway Gardens, while the women will play on the Lake View course.

The men's tournament will feature 36 holes of play on day one with 18 more on Tuesday, Apr. 13. The winner of the PBC championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

USC Aiken enters this year's Peach Belt Conference Tournament championship with eight prior league championships. The Pacers, who have won five times in the last eight years, have obtained the PBC Championship in 1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008.

The 2009-10 Pacer golf team has acquired five top 10 finishes over the course of the year. USC Aiken is still searching for its first victory of the season as the Pacers' top finish came with a second place finish at the 2009 Will Wilson Southeast Preview.

Admission to Calloway Gardens for both the men's and women's tournaments is free.

Tournament host Columbus State will provide live stats for all three rounds of the PBC Tournament through Golfstat: http://www.golfstatresults.com/public/index.cfm?tournament_id=1871
