AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's
basketball player Casey McMasters was selected as the USC Aiken
Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week on December 21,
2009.
McMasters (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) led the Pacers in
their calendar year-ending 68-47 victory over Allen at the
Convocation Center on Thursday, Dec. 17 with a game-high 14 points.
He was 6-for-8 from the floor in the contest, including 2-of-4 from
beyond the arc.
The Pacers are now off until Jan. 4, but the win over the Yellow
Jackets of Allen leaves the Pacers entering the 2010 year in the
midst of a season-high three-game winning streak.
The USC Aiken Student Athlete of the Week award is a newly created
award for the 2009-10 athletic year. Each week the USC Aiken
athletic department is going to honor one individual from an
in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
