Final
Second Stage Results
PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Former USC Aiken golf standout Scott Brown
finished second in the second stage of the PGA Tour's Qualifying
School at the Callaway Gardens Mountain View Golf Course with a
four-round score of 270. The final round was on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The second place finish moves Brown on to the third and final
stage of the PGA's "Q School." Brown not only has a shot to make
the PGA Tour in the 2010 season, but he is at least guaranteed of
conditional Nationwide Tour Status for the upcoming year.
Last year playing on the eGolf Professional Tour, Brown finished
first on the money list at $142,362. He finished the year with two
wins. In total between the eGolf and the NGA Hooters Tour, Brown
finished last year with over $152,000 in earnings.
"Q School" features three different stages. A three-time NCAA
Division II All-America selection and a member of all three of USC
Aiken's NCAA Division II National Championship teams, Brown (North
Augusta, S.C.) in four previous appearances had never made it past
the second stage prior to last weekend.
The final round of "Q School" will feature a grueling six-round,
108-hole tournament. The event is set for Dec. 2-7 at Bear Lakes
Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The final stage of "Q School" will be able to be seen on the
GOLF CHANNEL on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 from 1-4 p.m.
The final day will air from 12:30 p.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.
