Box Score PEMBROKE, NC – After falling 2-1, the USC Aiken volleyball team rallied back to take the match, 3-2, over Augusta State on Saturday November 15 and head into the semifinals of the Peach Belt Conference. With this win the Pacers ended their six-game losing streak.
In the semifinal match, against Armstrong Atlantic, the Pacers fell 3-0 to end their season and their run to the championship round for the third year.
Leading the way for the Pacers were senior outside hitter Stefanie Durham and freshman right side hitter Theo Marshall, both with 16 kills in the two matches. The All-Conference winner, Durham, also added eight service aces, 23 digs and five blocks. Marshall totaled five blocks, two solos, during the matches.
Freshman middle hitter Susan MacClary had 13 kills, whereas sophomore outside hitter Megan Disney added 12. Disney also tallied 20 digs, while MacClary assisted with one block.
Getting a team-high 34 assists, junior setter Lauren Cedeno, also contributed with two service aces, one kill and 12 digs for the Pacers. Junior setter Whitney Tabbert added 31 assists of her own, while also getting one kill and six digs.
Senior Libero Danielle Spice had two assists and 20 digs in her last game as a Pacer.
