AUGUSTA, GA – Sophomore Nicole Maitland (Chapin, SC - Chapin HS) was named Runner of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference for the week of October 6.

Maitland picked up her first career victory in a multi-team event as she captured the Blue Hose Invitational on Friday in Clinton, S.C. The sophomore covered the 5k course in 19:47, her second sub-20 minute 5k in the last three weeks, to hold off FMU's Kelly May and Lander's Ogla Nunez-Lopez. Maitland also becomes USCA's first-ever PBC Runner of the Week.

Maitland and the Pacers will next hit the course on Saturday October 11 when they travel to Greenville, SC to participate in the Furman Invitational.
