Box Score AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken kept the game close but couldn't get past 25th ranked Lander University, falling 2-0 tonight in a match-up of Peach Belt Conference men's soccer teams at "Pacer Pit" in Aiken, S.C. The Bearcats (10-2-2, 2-2-2 PBC) scored two first period goals and the Pacers went (5-9-2, 0-6-0 PBC) scoreless for the fourth time in their last six games. At halftime, USCA honored its six seniors;

Drew Courtney drew first blood for Lander just over six and a half minutes into the game when he took a feed from Carlos Lozano and beat USC Aiken goalkeeper
Harold Tate. The Bearcats added their second goal 13 minutes later when Zach Ducey scored off a pass from Lozano.
Lander's Chiddy Mgbor led all players with four shots.
Eugene Eshun-Philips and
Emmanuel Maduka attempted a team high three shots for the Pacers. The Bearcats held a 13-12 advantage in shots while USCA held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
Garret Daum earned the shutout in goal for Lander. Daum made seven saves in 90 minutes of work. Tate gave up the two goals and made six saves in 90 minutes of play as well.
The Pacers conclude their 2004 regular season on Friday when they travel to Thomasville, Ga., to face Thomas University beginning at 4:00 p.m.
