Box Score PEMBROKE, N.C.--USC Aiken (5-4-2, 0-3-0 PBC) managed just five shots and found themselves playing a man down for two-thirds of the game in a 4-0 loss at #7 UNC Pembroke (8-1-0, 3-0-0 PBC) in men's Peach Belt Conference soccer action on Saturday night at the Irwin Belk Complex. The Braves downed the Pacers for the fourth-straight time and lead the all-time series 10-5-0. 

USC Aiken's Mamadou Ndoye received a yellow card in the 10th minute and then his second in the 27th minute, resulting in his ejection and the Pacers having to play one man down for the remainder of the game. 

Mircea Cosac got the Braves on the board in the 11th minute off a cross from Thomas Lindal. John Cooper made the score 2-0 by netting a goal with 50 seconds to play in the first half. 

Trond Myrland and Sascha Gorres tacked on a pair of insurance markers in the 51st and 54th minutes to set the final margin at 4-0. 

Richard Sallin made three saves in net for UNC Pembroke for the team's third consecutive shutout. Zac Van Frank logged 57 minutes in goal for USCA allowing four goals and stopping four shots. Harold Tate held the Braves' offense at bay in the final 33 minutes, not allowing a goal and making five saves. 

UNC Pembroke dominated play holding a 19-5 advantage in shots. USC Aiken also trailed 5-4 in corner kicks and was whistled for 15 more fouls. 

USC Aiken will try and snap its 15-game conference winless streak on Saturday, October 9 when the Pacers play at Clayton State at 1:00 PM.
