Box Score NEWBERRY, S.C.--The combined attack of Jenny Lloyd and Mandy Gerolstein proved to be too much for the Lady Indians to handle as USC Aiken (16-10) blanked Newberry (7-14) 3-0 on Tuesday night at Eleazer Arena in non-conference volleyball action. Game scores were 30-23, 30-26, and 30-23. The Lady Pacers improve to 11-1 in the all-time series. 

Lloyd rang up 19 kills, 10 digs, two blocks, and two service aces for a match-high 22.0 points. The senior captain from Fife, Wash. extended her Peach Belt Conference record streak of double-digit kill matches to 84 including 27 straight. 

Gerolstein added 14 kills and five blocks for 17.0 points and a .455 hitting percentage. Missy Deardorff and Laura Williams combined for 15 kills and five blocks with each hitting over .500. As a team, USC Aiken hit .339 while holding Newberry to .172. Setter Rachel Dalitz tallied 44 assists and 12 digs. Libero Brandi Gayle chipped in 10 digs and one ace. 

Jamie Foster-Mann led the Lady Indians with nine kills and one block for a .318 hitting percentage. Kelly Harting recorded 12 digs while setter Alicia Khoury registered 28 assists to go with five kills and eight digs. 

An 8-2 run in game one ballooned a 12-7 lead into a 20-9 advantage for the Lady Pacers behind four kills from Lloyd. At 5.16 kills per game, Lloyd ranks 17th in Division II.

Knotted up at 20-20 in game two, USCA used a 5-0 run off the serve of Dalitz to pull out in front 25-20 and hold that margin for the 30-26 win. 

In the final game, a 9-1 run broke open a 17-17 contest and produced a commanding 26-18 bulge for USCA. Lloyd had three kills and Gerolstein two during the run. 

USC Aiken returns home for a pair of key Peach Belt Conference showdowns this weekend. The Lady Pacers will host Lander on Friday, October 22 at 7:00 PM and then USC Upstate (formerly USC Spartanburg) on Saturday, October 23 at 3:00 PM.
