Box Score AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's women's soccer team fell to Brescia University, 5-0, today at "Pacer Pit" on the USCA campus. The Lady Bearcats (5-10-0) got two goals from Lauren Taylor and a goal and an assist from Aivi Luik. The Lady Pacers (1-8-2) were shutout for the fifth time in their last seven matches.

Ashly Dell put Brescia University, located in Owensboro, Ky., on the board with a goal at the 29:52. Just over six minutes later, Jennifer Lumby took a pass from Luik and scored from eight yards out to put the Lady Bearcats ahead 2-0. 

Taylor's first goal came with less than two and a half minutes remaining in the first period and sent Brescia to the locker room with a 3-0 lead.

BU out-shot the Lady Pacers 11-4 in the first half and 14-9 for the game. Luik led the visitors with four shots. Melanie Byars and Tayo Amos each recorded two shot attempts for USCA.

Goalkeeper Shannon Hobbs gave way to Byars at the break after allowing the three first period goals and making four saves. Byars played the entire second half in goal for the Lady Pacers, allowing two goals and making one save.

Luik extended the lead to 4-0 at the 66:20 mark with a penalty kick and Taylor capped the scoring with her second goal at the 79:29 mark.

The Lady Pacers step back into Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday when they travel to Florence, S.C., to face Francis Marion University at 1:00 p.m.
