Box Score 2 PEMBROKE, NC--Following a 3-0 sweep of Francis Marion on Friday night, the USC Aiken Lady Pacers (7-9, 2-0 PBC) duplicated that performance on Saturday, resulting in another Peach Belt Conference road win, this time a 3-0 victory at UNC Pembroke. Game scores from the Francis Marion match were 30-28, 32-30, and 30-20. The Patriots fall to 5-10 overall and 0-1 in the PBC. Game scores versus UNC Pembroke were 30-15, 30-27, and 30-19. UNCP is now 6-9 overall and 0-2 in the PBC.Â

Jenny Lloyd led the Lady Pacer attack with 13 kills each. Sophomore setter
Rachel Dalitz dished out 32 assists and served up three aces. Senior
Helena Jantti also registered a game-high seven blocks.Â
Games one and two were tight contests with the Lady Pacers taking both by the minimum, two points. However, in game three, USCA really took over cruising to the 30-20 win.Â
As a team, USCA hit .167 while holding FMU to a .081 percentage. Kelly Feber's nine kills led the Patriots.Â
On Saturday, it was again the Long and Lloyd show. The duo combined for 30 of the Lady Pacers' 43 kills in the 3-0 win over UNC Pembroke. USCA hit .243 and served up 16 service aces. Long hit .448, had four service aces, three blocks, and 10 digs. Lloyd also had four aces to go with one block and a game-high 17 digs.Â
With the Lady Pacers leading 15-13 in game one, USCA rattled off the final 15 points of the game to take the 30-15 win.
Jessica Lane had one of her four aces in the match.Â
A much closer game two saw the Lady Braves pull within one point at 22-21, but USCA held on for the 30-27 win.Â
In the final game of the afternoon, USCA again charged ahead 15-8 and then 21-11 to cruise to the 30-19 win.Â
Amy Julien tallied five kills to lead UNC Pembroke who hit .114 as a team. UNCP also recorded just four service aces to 10 service errors.Â
USC Aiken, who finished 7-4 on their 11-game road swing, will now host three-straight Peach Belt Conference matches at "The Courthouse". The Lady Pacers welcome archrival Augusta State on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 PM.
