Box Score MT. VERNON, GA.--USC Aiken's women's soccer team beat Brewton Parker College, 5-0, yesterday in Mt. Vernon, Ga. Freshman
Jen Mascarin scored two goals on two shots. The Lady Pacers evened their record at 4-4-2 and remained 0-3-2 in the PBC. The Lady Barons fell to 3-10 on the season.
Mascarin started the scoring for the Lady Pacers less than a minute into the game, scoring on a pass from
Jodi Kulinitch.
Mascarin scored her second goal about 15 minutes later to put the Lady Pacers ahead 2-0.
Amanda Faulknham ended the first half scoring for the Lady Pacers with her first goal of the season. The sophomore from Sumter, S.C., scored on a penalty kick that beat the Brewton Parker goalie.
Freshman
Amber Markley started the game in goal for USCA. She played the first period, allowing no goals, had one save and faced one shot. The Lexington, S.C., native is on a streak of 233 minutes and 26 seconds without allowing a goal. Her goals against average on the season now stands at 0.45.
Kulinitch picked up her third goal of the season in the second period. Freshman
Melissa Schnoering finished the scoring for the Lady Pacers with her seventh goal of the season.
USCA out shot the Lady Barons, 20-3.
Schnoering led the Lady Pacers with five shots.
Kulinitch had two shots, two shots on goal, one goal and two assists.
Shannon Hobbs played the second period in goal for the Lady Pacers. She had one save and faced one shot to preserve the shutout for USCA.
The Lady Pacers will play again on tonight when host Spelman College for a 7:00 p.m. match.
