Box Score AIKEN, SC--Avery Croteau's goal with 6:02 remaining capped UNC Pembroke's second-half comeback and lifted the Braves (5-5-0, 1-3-0 PBC) to a 3-2 win over USC Aiken (3-6-0, 0-4-0 PBC) in men's Peach Belt Conference action on Saturday night in Aiken, SC. The Pacers led 2-0 at the half, but surrendered three second-half goals in dropping their fourth straight conference match.
Mamadou Ndoye knocked home a
Shawn Ord (2) shot in from of the net with 30:53 on the clock for his third goal of the season. Less than two minutes later, at 32:25,
Plamen Peev (1) put the Pacers up 2-0 off a
Neil Berment (1) assist.
The second half opened up much the same as the first with the Pacers controlling play. But in the 69th minute,
Joe Warenda scored off a
Croteau corner kick to break the Braves into the scoring column and draw his team within one.
Evan Saleeby tied the match with 12:33 to play.
Croteau's goal in the 84th minute lifted UNCP to their first conference win of the season.

Peter Calabrese recorded three saves on the night for USCA.
Tom Martin, starting in goal for UNC Pembroke, turned in an excellent performance registering 11 saves on 20 shots.
USC Aiken travels to Mount Vernon, GA on Tuesday, October 8 for a 4:00 PM match up with Brewton-Parker College.
