AIKEN, SC--The USC Aiken men's soccer team (2-2-0) went undefeated on the weekend at the Pacer Invitational Tournament, beating Anderson College 7-0 Sunday. The Pacers got goals from six different players.
FreshmanÂ
Mamadou Ndoye started things off strong with a goal in the first five minutes off of a header fromÂ
Nicholas Arrington.Â
Mark Turner turned up the heat with two goals, one on a penalty shot and the other from an assist byÂ
Haroon Saleem. The first half scoring was completed byÂ
Saleem in the 34th minute.
An entire fresh line-up came into the second half, but the scoring raid continued.
Richard Wolf returned to the Pacers' line-up in high fashion, scoring on a corner kick fromÂ
JohnÂ
Mulroy the first minute into the second half.Â
Mulroy then put himself in the scoring column five minutes later. The attack ended onÂ
Robert Poynter's ecstatic goal in the last six minutes.
USCA's defense was outstanding; not only shutting the Trojans out in the goal, but also not letting AC get a single shot off the entire game.
The score from the other tournament game today was Mount Olive 3, North Georgia 2 (OT2).
The next game for the Pacers is Wednesday when they host Limestone College at 7:00 PM.Â
