AIKEN, SC--With the game tied a one-apiece and 20 minutes left, the USC Aiken men's soccer team (5-5-0) exploded to score six goals and defeat Southern Wesleyan University (5-5-0) 7-2 Wednesday night.
Mark Turner began the game with long shot in the 16th minute for the Pacers, but SWU tied it right after halftime. The score remained 1-1 until 70:45 when
Richard Wolf landed a
Turner assist into the Warriors' net.
In the next 15 minutes, the Pacers received goals from four different players.
Robert Poynter connected on a cross from
AJ Ikourou and
Haroon Saleem scored in the 78th minute to lead 4-1. Then
goals came from
Terrence Charles and
Mamadou Ndoye, both assisted by
Wolf and makes Wolf tied atop the all-time career points list with
Brad Saenz at 79 points.
USCA returns to conference play Saturday, October 6 when they travel to UNC Pembroke at 2:30 PM.
