Augusta, Ga. – Augusta State defeated USC Aiken 2-0 in the PBAC tournament opener Wednesday afternoon. The win propels the Jaguars into the semifinals of the PBAC tournament for the eighth consecutive year.

USC Aiken finishes the season with a 5-13-3 overall record.

The Pacers, despite playing without eight suspended players, played tough throughout the match and went into halftime with the match scoreless. The match remained scoreless until the 68:25 mark when Quincy Aberdeen notched his eighth goal of the season off an assist from Ryan Marshall.

Augusta State added an insurance goal five minutes later when Keith Costigan scored on a penalty kick.
