Prior to the 2013-14 women’s basketball season, the former head coach brought in four freshmen.
Jasmine Coach, Kate Duff, Carly Gilreath and Alexis Ware each decided to continue their playing career at USC Aiken.
Coach was a local product of North Augusta, S.C., while Gilreath was not too far away as she hailed from Dawsonville, Ga. Ware was a Panama City, Fla., native while Duff had never set foot on campus prior to moving in.
All four have had ups and downs and playing time for each has varied over the four years. The four have played in a pair of PBC Tournaments, reaching the PBC semifinals as sophomores.
The four have transitioned from one coach to another and have thrived in the new system. After a slow start, the team is 10-7 on the year and has won six straight contests – in large part to the play of the four, four-year seniors.
